I meant to post this almost a month ago but whatever. I started a podcast called That’s Not In A Textbook. It’s sort of an amalgamation of every aspect from every podcast I love and listen to regularly. The basic concept of the show is that every episode you’re gonna hear me and my friends react and delve into a topic that you (probably) won’t find in a textbook. The topics covered will range from the paranormal, bizarre historical events and figures, and weird things we found online, and anything else hanging out in the fringes of the zeitgeist.
You can listen to it on most popular podcast streaming services, such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts. So far 4 episodes have been released, roughly 4-5 hours of content to delve into if you wish. The show I intend to be a weekly one, but I have it listed as semi-weekly as we can’t always guarantee an episode will release each week (simply due to scheduling issues, etc.)
The most recent episode is the finale to a tournament of sorts where me and my two friends Kaden and Alex debate over which cryptid is cooler or better than another in each group of a tournament bracket-style. All of the cryptids except for one I had never heard of, so even if you fancy yourself a cryptid expert, you may find yourself learning of 8 new cryptids!
